Sarah has over ten years of experience as a therapist and specializes in counseling children, teens, and parents. Her specialties include treating anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, self-worth issues, emotional regulation issues, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and helping clients cope with life changes. In her work with children, she uses creative interventions such as art and play to help children communicate in a more natural way while also teaching healthy coping skills. Sarah also involves parents in sessions with children to give them the tools to support their children and strengthen their relationships.
Sarah enjoys working with parents that are pregnant, postpartum or needing support in parenting. She is trained in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International.
Sarah received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Kutztown University. Her background includes experience in various mental health settings such as outpatient, partial programs, inpatient, and residential. She primarily uses CBT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic and Client-Centered Therapy in her work with clients. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT which she uses to treat trauma with children and teens.
